I started this post awhile back, after reading an article on Gwyneth Paltrow. I never posted it because I managed to fall off of the blogging bandwagon while restructuring my entire life.
Apparetnly, Gwyneth Paltrow turned up at a book signing au-natural. She was criticized in the comment section of the article for not arriving in a glamorous, movie-star type of get up.
Disappointed, people were disappointed. I am not sure that people at the book store were, but the people sitting at home, staring at their computers, reading this article were. At least some of the ones who voiced their intelligent-selves in the comment section of the several versions of the article I found did.
Here she is, Gwyneth au-natural. I say, "Hooray!"
We know she can look like this:
We're thrilled when she does. She's incredibly beautiful.
But as the Mom of a pre-teen, I respect when she shows up on occasion like this, because I can show my daughter these pictures. I can use it to help her understand that famous, beautiful people who put on make up, wear glamorous clothes, and look completely breath-taking are also normal people. Under it all, the don't look much different then us sporting a ponytail to run errands. Gwyneth showed up as a "normal" person. I like that. Thank you.
