We are on a countdown around here.

There are 7 more days of . . . .
Counting the days.
Climbing over boxes.
Living in a mess.
Handling miscellaneous repairs.
Saying our goodbyes. Our sad, sad goodbyes.
My green porch.
Midwest thunderstorms and their hail.
Children caught in transition.

And in only 7 days. . . .
I will hug my Mom.
Kiss my niece.
Drink coffee with my Dad.
I will sit on my brother's couch and watch our children play.
Breath in the salty ocean air.
Watch my daughter run into the ocean as if God made this giant pool for her alone.
Watch my daughter run into the ocean as if God made this giant pool for her alone.
Drive on the 405, ummm, err sit in traffic.
See my California friends, and their children, and hold in my heart how they've grown.
I will thank God for the ground of home and the opportunity to be there.
In only 7 more days!
