I thought I'd take a minute to break any misconceptions about how and where I shop with this post. . .
Do you garage sale? I never did until I realized all the wonderful crazy finds I was missing out on. There's the Lite Brite I bought for $3, the Pogo Stick for $2, the marbles I got for FREE. Even if my kids only played with these toys for 2 hrs., it was cheaper than a trip to the movies. Also, it's an easy and unattached way to put it in the Goodwill pile when they are done.
Just like everything in life, I keep my buying simple. I go with a purpose. I don't buy a lot of random stuff, though junk or treasure is in the eye of the beholder. It can be easy to get caught up in the moment and buy a ton of stuff that you don't need. Especially when those things are priced for a $1 and under. Even more especially when you find Gymboree, Quicksilver, and Gap. So definitely go with a plan.
Here's some of my recent favorite finds:

| He wanted a carwash! FREE! |
Where else do I shop? More on that soon. For now, try it. Craigslist is a great place to look up garage sales, especially when looking for name brand sales. Most of the time, people on Craigslist will specify the sizes and name brands that they'll be carrying, which saves a ton of time.
